The DanceAus Connect App was the brainchild of Sharon Zacharia in 2017.  As a result of many conversations with likeminded dance mums, they all found it difficult to search and be connected with competitions and workshops.  On many occasions they found themselves either not knowing what was on or completely missing registration and cut off times.

Wanting to also extend their children, knowing when and where workshops were on proved quite difficult.  This included summer and winter schools and general workshops being offered.

Noting a gap in the market, there was a 'light bulb' moment... what if there was an app that could give all this information in one simple easy to use device?  RIGHT IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND!

Hence the DanceAus Connect App was created.  With far more features than originally intended.

Sharon began dancing at the age of 4 years with Parafield Gardens Calisthenics Club, later combining with Lyneece Calisthenics through to Senior level.

At the age of 12 she was selected in the youngest team to travel to the United States to compete in the Drill Dance Competitions with the Australian Drill and Dance Team.  This continued every year, competing in America in 1984 and 1987, Japan 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989 and 1993.  She was also part of the team that was invited to the 1990 Edinburgh Festival to perform with the Band of the South Australian Police.

The skills developed during this time laid the foundation to successfully gain entry to a Bachelor of Arts in Dance at the University of South Australia.

The passion for Dance has never waivered and continues today with her daughter currently taking classes with Barbara Jayne Dance Centre, South Australia.

Most recently, Sharon spent 16 years in sales in Finance and moved up to Operations Manager in the Automotive Industry.  During this time she successfully completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Diploma in Management.

The skills and knowledge base are vast with high business acumen, ability to deliver challenging strategies and a passion for growth in the Dancing community.
